Brilliant street theatre in the London Underground

One elderly gentleman turned to the team and said "Very good, if only this were for real, eh?"

Cookie Monster searches deep within himself and asks, "Is Me Really Monster?"

There was mention the other day that Children's Television Workshop put a warning label on the recently-released DVDs of Sesame Street seasons one and two, stating "these early 'Sesame Street' episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today's preschool child."

You see, Alastair Cookie Monster introduced Monsterpiece Theatre while smoking a Pipe (Horrors!) and little Sally had a big grownup friend named Gordon, who held her hand while he took her home.....for milk and cookies with his smiling wife.   And, of course, Cookie Monster behaved in a politically incorrect fashion, and ATE COOKIES without a single word of permission, and no cautionary discussion of nutritionally balanced diets.

Thus, this introspective monologue seems both appropriate and timely.
